China Discovery Tour: Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Chengdu 11 Days with 4 Star Hotel

Welcome to Beijing! Please make sure you have filled all the requested information on Arrival / Departure form that flight crew give to you as it is necessary for all the passengers travelling internationally. After clearing from immigration and customs at Beijing International Airport, find your way to arrival hall, and you will meet our English-speaking tour guide holding the “China Wayz” placard. After a warm greeting, we will transfer you to your hotel in Beijing and you can rest and prepare yourself for your amazing 11 days tour in China!
Our tour guides will help you to buy a SIM card in case you need one. You can also exchange your money and get some RMB in cash at the airport in case you need. Your experiences tour guide will gladly answer to all your questions about Beijing and your Hotel’s nearby places and you can explore around on yourself!

After having breakfast in your hotel, you will meet your tour guide and other group members and we will take you directly to your first destination, Tiananmen Square by private car or van. Not only one of the largest squares in the world, this place is also famous for all the events that have taken place in Chinese history. Cross the street is your next destination, The Forbidden City which is an imperial palace in Beijing that dates back to the Ming dynasty. You will enjoy the lunch at a nice local restaurant. In the afternoon, the group will visit the Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient sacred place of worship in China with unique architecture located in the south east of Beijing. In the evening, you will go to a theater to watch exciting Chinese Kong Fu Show. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After a full buffet breakfast at hotel, it is time to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world, The Great Wall of China. As you might know the Great wall is very long and there are several sections that are very famous to visitors and we will go to the Mutianyu section of Great Wall as it is less crowded than Badaling Great Wall and you can enjoy your time and take better pictures. After lunch and a short stop at Jade Factory we will head to Summer Palace, a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. Tea ceremony is one of the most interesting experiences in China. We will end our day visiting to a local tea house to drink Chinese tea live like locals and relax after an active day, then we will take you back to your hotel.

You start your 4th day by visiting one of the Hutongs of Beijing, where you can see the old neighborhoods of Beijing by walking around or sitting on a tricycle. In the afternoon we will take you back to hotel to checkout and transfer you to the Beijing airport to continue your journey to Xian. The first day in Xian is dedicated to visit Terracotta Warriors and Houses Museum and you will admire the ancient craft of the Qin dynasty. There is a pottery-making factory that we will visit on our way to our lunch. We will go to a good local restaurant to try authentic taste of Chinese food based on your choice. After lunch, you will visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xian Museum. At night, we arrange dinner and you will have one of the most famous Chinese food called Dumplings at a local restaurant, while you are watching the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show * Note: Since the dance show is closed on December, January, February and March, passengers in this months will have the free evening instead. Today you will go to Xian City Wall to have a panoramic view of Xian. The wall is one of the oldest and best preserved ramparts in China. If you like being more active, today you have time to rent a bicycle and enjoy biking around. (Fee is not included)
After lunch, we will continue the tour by visiting The Great Mosque of Xian. This is the largest and the best preserved mosque in China. Then you have some free time to enjoy walking around Muslim street and try some delicious food or buy souvenirs. Meals: Western buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

Today we will catch a morning flight to Guilin. Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area. Your Guilin sightseeing starts with the famous Reed Flute Cave, which is a 240 meter karst cave that has various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites. We also visit Elephant Trunk Hill and then will transfer you to the hotel.

After your breakfast, we will take you to Pier to cruise on Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo and enjoy the beauty of nature along the river. There is some Chinese boxed lunch on the ship and you also might bring some snacks for yourself. You will be on board for almost 4 hours before arriving at Yangshuo. In Yangshuo we will walk through the West Street, we will drive you to the countryside area to see rural views, along with a local peasant’s home. Then we will drive you back to Guilin to rest after a long day.

After breakfast in the hotel, you will checkout and fly to Chengdu, the capital of southwestern China’s Sichuan province. We will pick you up at airport and transfer you to your hotel and you are free today to have lunch and spend your evening on your own. Your hotel is very close to Chunxi Road and Tianfu Square so you can walk around the city and have some free time after an active week or and get ready for the rest of your journey.

Today is schedule to visit China’s national treasure, giant pandas at the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The morning is the best time to watch the active pandas. You will surely enjoy seeing panda bears eating bamboo or playing with each other. Then, you will visit Jinsha Site Museum where you can watch a 4D film “Dream Back to Jinsha”. This gives you a chance to understand how life was 2,000 years ago. Being in the list of Chengdu Historical and Cultural Protection Project, Broad and Narrow Alleys is your next scheduled visit. Old houses and alleys of the Qing Dynasty have been transformed to the tea houses, restaurants, shops and bars and you can walk around and have a good time there.

This is the last day of your tour. You need to checkout your hotel room at noon. Since our passengers have different flight schedules to leave Chengdu, we do not include the airport drop-off service today. We suggest that you make sure you are updated with timing and book a taxi to Airport in advance. Our tour leaders will gladly help you to book your next flight if you needed. Have a great journey!
