Destinations: Tongli Water Town
The guide will pick you up at your hotel in Shanghai and drive to Tongli water town, this ancient town has 7 islands and 49 historic bridges connecting each other. Taking a boat ride along the waterways is a great way to see the unique canal lifestyle. Hundreds of gardens built in Ming and Qing dynasty dot the town, among which Tuisi Garden is regarded as the best. This "Waterside Garden" was inspired by the Confucius saying "The wise find pleasure in water; the virtuous find pleasure in hills".
