Destinations: Wolong Nature Reserve, Dujiangyan Irrigation System
The guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in the morning, and drive to Mt.Qingcheng about 1.5 hours, then visit Mt. Qingcheng, a famous mountain of China Taoism. Hike about half hour to Yuecheng Lake lying quietly at the waist of the mountain, then take Buyun cable car for 5 minutes up to the mountain; walk to the mountain top and visit the historical Taoism temples along the way, such as the Shangqing Temple, Laojun Pavilion,having a touch of Taoism culture by visiting these traditional Chinese architectures and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery.
Afterward, walking down the Taosit mountain and transfer to Dujiangyan Irrigation System. It is an irrigation project built in 256 BC. The system was scientificly designed under Taoism philosphy "the Harmony between Human Beings and Nature", which made it still workable to irrigate large areas of Chengdu plain. Visiting the three main parts of Dujiangyan Irrigation System: Yuzui(Fish-mouth like dike), Feishayan(Sand-Spilling Dam), Baopingkou(Precious Bottle Neck), and you will be shocked by the ancient Chinese wisdom.
Continue driving to Wolong Nature Reserve for about 1 hours, stay overnight at Shenshuping Panda Base.
On this day, you will experience a day volunteer job as a panda keeper at Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base, the program includes the following items:
Honorable Keeper: Clean up bamboos, pick up doppings, wash the enclosures, observe and understand the panda's status and living conditions. Etc. It lasts about 2 hours.
Science quest: Explore the panda rescue exhibition hall to know aobut stories related with panda rescues. It lasts about 30 minutes.
Love Feeding: Personally deliver to the pandas, their delicious 'Cake' and fruits, understand panda's feeding habits. 30 minutes.
Panda cinema: Watch a documentary that shows scientific facts about pandas. To understand how humans portcet them, and how we may live in harmony with them. 45 minutes.
Panda nutritionist: Prepare food for the pandas and also experience the fun of making the 'Panda's Cake'. 45 mnutes.
Panda Class: Inviting our experienced panda experts to share their scientific knowledge with us. 45 minutes
Certificate: Get your panda keeper certificate issued after the activities in the panda park.
Drive back to Chengdu at about 4:00Pm, arrive in Chengdu around 6:00Pm, end the tour.

The tour is only available for people aging from 12 to 65.
Participants should be healthy, no infectious diseases. Being a volunteer, you should apply a Health Examination Form one week ahead, it can be any valid medical certificate with doctors' signature or hospital seals issued either in your country or in China. If you need help in applying the Health Examination Form, please feel free to let us know.
No jewelry wearing, no perfume spraying when you do the volunteer jobs. Pandas are very smell sensitive, volunteers should avoid using perfume or other odorous articles like mosquito repellent liquid, nail polish, skin care products, makeups, etc. on the working day to be a volunteer.
Pre-work Training and Registration:
Volunteers need to register first at Panda Base office for the Certificate, then, the pre-work training for volunteers will be held before 09:00 a.m, by which volunteers learn more about the program. Volunteers will miss parts of the activity because of late arrival,therefore, you are suggested to get there before 08:30 a.m.
Pre-booking & Temporary Cancellation:
Panda voluntter job is extremely popular program in China, volunteers are required to reserve the program as early as possilbe, especially during peak seasons (April to October). Any temporary cancellation, changes in voluntert numbers is required to inform us 2 weeks ahead.
For pandas have keen sense of smell, volunteers should avoid using perfume or other odorous articles like mosquito repellent liquid, nail polish, skin care products, makeups, etc. on the volunteer work day.
Volunteers will be served lunches as panda keepers, if you are allergic to any food please specify to our staff.
