Terra-cotta Warriors Museum
It is about 40 kilometers away from the downtown area of Xian, at east side outskirts of the city, discovered accidentally in 1974,by local farmers who dug the well. This incredible army formation contains more than 8000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, guarding emperor Qin's tomb in full battle formation since 210 BC. Each figure is unique ,even today the excavation still continue in 3 pits which are protected by huge arch-shape hangar.
Hanyang mausoleum
Hanyang mausoleum is the joint tomb of the Emperor Jingdi and his empress. It is the largest underground museum in China. Besides, the tomb combines modern technology, ancient civilization, ancient culture and garden art. After 30 years of excavation, it shows that the Hanyang Mausoleum is mainly composed of the Emperor and Empress' graveyards, southern and northern burial pits, ritual building, and the criminal's graveyards. The layout is similar to ancient morning court held by the emperor. All the graveyards and burial pits are in the underground museum. The cultural relics are protected by a special glass imported from Czech. Seeing them on the ground, visitors may truly feel the unearthed process of the national treasure, and the splendid Han culture.
